The mission of the Golden Gate Area Council Shooting Sports Committee is to:

1. Support the safety, quality and quantity of shooting sports programs within the council:
   1. Wolfeboro
   2. Day Camp
   3. Family Camp
   4. Cub Scout Marksmanship Day in the fall at Camp Herms. Two sessions AM – PM
   5. Boy Scout Shooting sports Merit Badge Camp in the spring at Martinez Gun Club, Friday-Saturday
   6. Boy Scout Marksmanship Shoot in the fall at Martinez Gun Club all day Saturday – Merit Badge Prerequisite.
2. Support Boy Scout and Venture unit shooting sports activities
3. Support adult shooting sports training
4. NRA training
5. Archery training
